We've taken the plunge...

(posted by Elizma)

After months of uhming and aaahing we've today taken the step to order our new bathroom. It's going to be a LOT of money (the GDP of a small African country!), but we're sure it's going to be worth it. We'll try and post some before and after pics.

On the road again...

(posted by Elizma)

We only arrived home today, but I'm off for work tomorrow for 5 days. This will be the longest I've been away from Leon since we've been married. I'm looking forward to the work-thing, but not so much to the being away thing. I'm sure Leon will cope fine on take-aways and ready made meals though...

Home Sweet Home

Italy's been great - as always. It is the one place in the world we've been where times stands still. Three days feels like a week and a week even longer. Venice was as beautiful as ever. It was my third time there at it still has the same effect. Leon loved it too. I'm very sure that this will not have been our last trip to Italy after all... Our photos will be on the blog some time next week, but we'll let you know when.

Under the Tuscan Sun

(posted by Elizma)

We spent the two most perfect (apart from the cold) days in Tuscany so far. Last night we watched the movie with the same name as our blog title in front of an open fire with a glass of red wine from the estate we are staying on. The scenes not only took us to the places we just visited that day, but also to Positano (Amalfi Coast), where Leon and I spent a week in September. Today we are off to Florence and shortly after to Cinque Terre and Venice. We will be spoilt for choice with all the beautiful photos we have to put on our blog as Tuscany is every postcard and picture you have ever seen of it.

Believe it or not...

(posted by Elizma)

We are off on holiday again! And where else, but Italy. We're flying to Rome tomorrow and we'll spend 5 days in Tuscany taking in places such as Siena, Florence, Pisa, Assisi, Cinque Terre and very importantly the Chianti (wine) region. Then we're off to Venice for 2 days before flying home. We're going with good friends and are looking forward to the fantastic food, glorious scenery and good company. Naturally we'll post the photos on our return. Leon says this will probably be our last time going to Italy, as there are so many other places to see. But I have other ideas. It is after all still my favourite country out of all the ones we've been to. We'll just have to wait and see...
