Small world

(posted by Elizma)

I bought a Fisher Price bouncer for Liam on e-Bay yesterday. (I always get excited when I buy something on e-Bay as it feels as if I've won a prize in a competition - well it sort of is, isn't it? ;-))

Anyway, this evening, our next door neighbour stopped Leon as he was arriving home and congratulated him on his purchase. Stumped, he asked how she knew. Her best friend called her from Scotland to double check their address - as she was sure our neighbours lived close to the address they needed to post the bouncer to. Turned out the bouncer was sold to us by her best friend's son - also living in Scotland.

Out of 69 million people in the UK, we buy something on e-Bay from our neighbour's best friend's son who lives in Scotland.

Small world isn't it?!

A big day for Liam

(posted by Elizma)

Today was a big day for Liam. He had his first taste of food (baby rice) as well as his first swim in a proper swimming pool. He enjoyed both immensely. He couldn't get enough of the rice - and knew exactly what to do with the spoon, never letting it out of his sight. Maybe he was starving...

He's just growing up too fast for my liking!

Some more photos here.

Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures at the pool, but we will take plenty in South Africa!

A few photos of Liam

(posted by Elizma)

His favourite position in his Bumbo - not sure what it is that tastes so nice! £100 for any adult who can assume that position and still walk comfortably afterwards ;-)

France with Leon's parents

(posted by Elizma)

We spent the last 4 days in the north of France with Leon's parents as well as his sister, Tania. We went over on the ferry on Saturday and arrived back home yesterday.

We had a lovely and very relaxing time. The cottage we stayed in was a bit small, but it was in a beautiful location - surrounded by private woods.

For some more photos - click here.

The road to the cottage

After about 30 minutes of refusing to nap and wriggling about, I finally gave in. When Mommy came to see if I've finally fallen asleep, she found me at a 90 degree angle to what she put me to bed to. Let the games begin!

4 Months

(posted by Elizma)

On Wednesday (the 1st) Liam was 4 months old. It feels like he's been around much longer, but thinking about it, 4 months is still such as short time in his expected lifetime... We're loving him and he's amaizing us every day.

Here are some pictures of him with some more taken in September here.
