Wow!

(posted by Elizma)

I'm not even going to try to tell you about our recent holiday. We went on a cruise with my parents and sister for a week. I could start a whole new blog just dedicated to this holiday so I'll keep it short and sweet: best holiday ever! Leon doesn't want to go on holiday any other way again. I wasn't so keen originally, but I'm now also a convert.

We started with a couple of days in Rome and then boarded the ship (Splendour of the Seas) at Venice and stopped at Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kusadasi (Turkey) and Santorini and Corfu in the Greek Isles. We can't recommend it enough. Below is s tiny glimpse of our adventure. For more photos, click here.

The colosseum in Rome

Gelati at Blue Ice, Leon's favourite gelateria in the world

Inside St Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican

St Mark's Square, Venice

Our floating hotel

On the city wall of Dubrovnik, Croatia

At the Temple of Artemis with St John's Basilica on the top of the hill in the background (where the apostle John reportedly wrote his gospel and is buried.)

In the market of Kusadasi. The sign above our heads was totally coincidental!

Santorini

Relaxing on the boat, the bit I enjoyed most of the whole experience

Corfu, Greece

Beautiful, beautiful Cotswolds

(posted by Elizma)

Saturday was a glorious day weatherwise and we drove up to the Cotswolds for the day. Leon an I have been there a few times now, but we're always surprised by the picturesque villages.
