Choo-Chooo!

(posted by Elizma)

As another treat, we took Liam to Guildford today by train. He got so excited as the trains pulled into the station, but I don't think he realised when he was on one actually. He loved watching the world wizz past him however.

Together we explored Guildford Castle - built by William Conqueror soon after 1066.

Mizen's Railway

(posted by Elizma)

On Sunday we went to a nearby miniature railway as Liam is slowly falling in love with trains - or Choo-choos as he calls them. It was a lovely Autumn day enjoyed by all.

SA Festival in Chobham

(posted by Elizma)

Last weekend we went to a SA Festival in Chobham. Although the turn-out wasn't great and there wasn't much going on in terms of stalls etc, the atmosphere was lovely.

We hope they do it again next year - hopefully this is something that will grow into something really, really nice.

Liam at 16 months

(posted by Elizma)

I know I'm late - Liam's almost 17 months now, but the excuse is still the same - the kitchen extension (of which we will post photos soon!)

Back to Liam...

It is wonderful watching the transition from baby to boy. His vocabulary is growing by the day and he's very entertaining. He can laugh at jokes and make some of his own. Communicating is also a lot easier for him now - and of course we understand more of it.

However, sometimes something small reminds us just how tiny and vulnerable he still is. I'm wondering how long he will remain...our baby boy...

Dad Bill's 60th Birthday

(posted by Elizma)

Leon's Dad turned 60 this year and we all gathered for the celebrations at their house on the day and again in a restaurant the following weekend.

Happy Birthday Dad! Thank you for everything you've done for us - there are many things we couldn't do without you.

Love. Leon, Elizma & Liam
